The Digital Maine Library provides every resident of Maine with access to online resources that include a collection of full text articles and abstracts from magazines, newspapers, journals and reference. It also provides students, business people, public library patrons, and higher education students and educators the ability to use online learning tools.
The DigitalMaine Repository is a partnership of the Maine State Library, Maine State Archives and community institutions around the state. Together, we are committed to providing access to Maine history, ensuring transparency in government, and sharing the stories of the people and places of the Pine Tree State.
As Maine's service hub for the Digital Public Library of America (DPLA), the DigitalMaine Repository is working to make digital collections from all Maine cultural institutions freely accessible to the world.
Maine Contemporary Archives is a project of the Maine Contemporary Archives Collaborative, a group of cultural heritage professionals working together to collect, preserve, and provide access to materials related to Maine community members’ experiences of current events. We represent communities from across the state. Each participating institution has collections from earlier periods, but our collaborative effort with Maine Contemporary Archives is dedicated to documenting current experiences and events.
